Attractions
Remnants of the island's past and iconic symbols of its cultural heritage are among Mayaguana's main attractions. You'll find the Pirate's Well dug by buccaneers that roamed here in the past; a former U.S. military base and tracking station built in the 1950's; and the Abraham's Bay Town Square, with an old homestead and the "well shack" where locals gathered to collect water as late as the 1980s. |
